In a galaxy far away by Alessia Belsito-Riera
Get beamed up to the stratosphere by a battalion of sci-fi babes at Bad Kitty Cabaret: Live Long & Prosper. The Fringe Bar will be transformed into Mos Eisley Cantina, taking Trekkies, Star War-riors, and Jed Heads to infinity and beyond on the 31st of August.
Bad Kitty Cabaret is a show for up-and-coming performers and experienced talents alike, filling the gap between student showcases in dance studios and professional gigs. Performers of all levels have the opportunity “to get up on stage in a fun show to showcase their creativity”, organiser and Body Electric Pole co-owner Maree Prebensen says. “We see so many talented and creative people every day, not only in pole, but in other performance disciplines as well. Bad Kitty hopes to bring together dancers from all pole studios, plus burlesque, circus, and drag”.
This latest iteration sends audiences to outer space, with Prebensen adding that it’s a way to challenge the cast. “We love a strong theme for our shows, and I’m personally a huge fan of sci-fi (especially Star Trek), so I thought it was time to see what our talented performers would come up with!”
Bringing the force with them are Teruminator & Tiger Fury, The Golden Diamonds, Violet Spice, Marlequin, Lavinia Lovestruck, Maximum Clownage, Lulabelle Star, Hunnybi, Lola Brunelle, Rocky Rhodes, Elisa, Rachael, Mel Teasr, Anna Ashton, and Dylan Daisy alongside MC Violet Sazerac.
Boldly go where no one has gone before at Bad Kitty Cabaret: Live Long & Prosper.
